Science On Tap
The Greenwood Genetic Center is joining with other local educational institutions and business to bring science out of the laboratories and into
the pub! Science on Tap is a program to share with our community some of the wonderful scientific work going on in our area. The public is
invited for a 30-40 minute informal presentation by a local scientist followed by time for discussion and questions.
There is no charge to attend. Contact Leta Tribble at GGC at (864) 941-4170 or lmt@ggc.org with any questions.

Spinning the Way to a Perfect Telescope Mirror
Dr. K. Lisa Brodhacker, Lander University
Dr. Brodhacker, who has worked on telescope mirrors for NASA, will explore her research into epoxy mirrors for telescopes that have several
advantages over glass mirrors including weight, durability, and cost, in some cases reducing costs from $1 M to $10,000! She will discuss
her spin-casting method which requires molecular expertise in polymer chemistry.
This is a free community lecture.
*Note that the March Science on Tap will be held at Lander University
